New Challenges of the Slovenian Shepherds

Duration

from 01.01.2018 to 30.11.2019

Description

In Slovenia, at least 150 tons of sheep wool is produced every year. The wool cycle still ends up out of place, as it is not municipal waste (it is still thrown away rather than useful). There is a lack of interest on the part of breeders for different forms of processing and use.

The development and processing of wool of different quality requires the education of breeders and users of wool - farmers, gardeners, craftsmen. It is a common problem for sheep breeders to remove low-quality sheep's wool, as we do not have adequate processing operations where sheep's wool could be usefully used.
