Operation HOP ON offers an innovative business model of tourist transfer. The service is a combination of tourist transportation, tailored local management and sightseeing (tourist attractions, villages, events...) in the LAG area between Snežnik and Nanos.

HOP ON will connect tourist points in three municipalities (Postojna, Pivka and Ilirska Bistrica). As it is a rural environment poorly connected to public passenger transport, tourists are faced with the problem of how to access lesser known places in the area. Through the operation, the LAG area will gain sustainable mobility services and improved accessibility to remote tourist spots; Through the stories of local guides, users of the service will deepen their knowledge of the Karst world and the rich cultural and historical heritage that has marked the life in the area.

By interpreting the content, awareness of the importance of protecting the natural and cultural heritage of the entire area will be raised. The operation will establish networks and partnerships; It will connect tourist attractions (Military History Park, Karst Museum, Prem Castle, Old Towns…) with the providers of typical local products (cheese tasting, fruit growers…), local guides and accommodation providers throughout the area. The service will be for tourists who visit the destination without their own transportation, as well as those who would like to experience and experience the genuine offer of the whole area.

Transportation will also allow bicycle transport, making it easier for cycling tourists to transfer to various starting points for cycling tours at the destination.
